During their term of office the Mayor presides at meetings of the Town Council and supports local organisations and businesses by launching, attending and hosting functions on behalf of the Town Council.
The Mayor also undertakes all Civic Ceremonial duties on behalf of the Town, including attendance at Civic Services, Remembrance Day, Festival of the Sea, Lugger Race, etc.
If you would like to invite the Mayor to your event, we would like to make it as easy as possible for you to do so.
All invitations should be sent at the earliest opportunity as the Mayor’s civic diary fills up quickly. Please send all invitations in writing or email, giving as much notice as possible, with details about what you would like the Mayor to do and if you would like the chain of Office to be worn, directly to:-
