Upcoming Overnight Works at Bone Mill Sewage Pumping Station – May 22nd

We would like to inform residents and visitors that essential cleaning works will be carried out by South West Water at the Bone Mill Sewage Pumping Station and Storm Tank overnight on Thursday, 22nd May, starting from 5:00 PM and continuing through the night until the morning of Friday, 23rd May.

These works are necessary to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of the pumping station and storm tank. As part of the process:

  • The clean will result in the temporary closure of approximately two-thirds of the Mill Pool Car Park.

  • While every effort will be made to minimise disruption, residents may notice an increase in noise and potential odours in the area. Odour control units will be in place to help mitigate this.

  • Tankering will be in place throughout the night to manage the debris from the clean.

  • In addition to the tankers the residents of the town may see light towers that will be on site.
