Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 S.14: Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Location: Fore Street and The Quay, East Looe Timing: 17th December 2024...
We would like to take a moment to commemorate the lives lost at sea from the Port of Looe and the families and friends impacted by this loss.
This weekend, our Mayor, Cllr Tony Smith and Souncillors attended the UK’s first ever National Fisheries Memorial Day on East Looe quayside.
The service, led by Revd. Ben Morgan-Lundie commemorated the fifteen lives from Looe lost fishing since 1899. Polperro Fishermen’s Choir also attended the service, leading the singing of hymns Eternal Father Strong to Save and Will Your Anchor Hold in the Storms of Life.

Looe is the stunningly beautiful fishing port on the south coast of Cornwall.
