Looe Lantern Parade Lights the Way to a Festive Season

The streets of Looe were aglow on Friday as the annual Lantern Parade brought the community together for a celebration of light, creativity, and festive cheer. From intricate designs to larger-than-life creations, the parade was a testament to the hard work and imagination that commenced during our lantern workshops previously in the month!

Starting at 6:30 pm at Millpool, the procession wound its way through town to the seafront, where it was met with Christmas carols, fireworks, and Christmas lights!

The free event also marked the launch of the town’s late-night shopping, with shops open until 8 pm every Thursday throughout December.  With free parking at Millpool car park (now accessible from both sides of Looe Bridge), it’s the perfect time to tick off your nice list! Visitors and locals can also enjoy the elf hunt and vote in the Christmas window competition courtesy of ‘Christmas in Looe’

Looe is open for business—shop local this festive season and help keep our town thriving!” – Mayor Cllr Tony Smith
