
George Ingham
George was co-opted to Looe Town Council in early 2026, bringing a fresh perspective as a young professional who has chosen to build his career and future in his hometown. A former student of Looe Community School and a graduate of the University of Plymouth with a BA (Hons) in Acting, George has deep roots in the community and is an active member of Looe Rowing Club
His professional background is rooted in the creative and film industries. George has worked as a Location Assistant and Marshall on major productions filmed in the area, including Beyond Paradise and the Apple TV series Down Cemetery Road. He also authored and devised the official Beyond Paradise walking tour for Looe, an experience that has given him unique insights into the balance between supporting a thriving tourism economy and maintaining the quality of life for locals.
George is a passionate advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and mental health, drawing on his own lived experience with autism and epilepsy to inform his approach to community issues. He is particularly keen to ensure that the voices of younger residents and creatives are represented in the Council’s decisions.
