Talland Bay Jack & Olivia

Meet Local Artist Olivia Croce.

Last week we caught up with Olivia Croce a local artist, art teacher, art coach and mother!

Olivia – Art Sessions started her art journey at GCSE where she met a fantastic art teacher. Olivia said ‘they dragged me through the up’s and downs of learning how to express yourself, slowly but surely learning technique and building my confidence. I made huge, wacky sculptures and it started to feel great. I realise now he showed me creative bravery, which is what I teach! I encourage emotion in art and pushing away your inner critic’.

Olivia also spoke about Looe, and the impact a wonderful sense of community can have. ‘It is so important because it gives you a sense of being, purpose and love, which is what is really important.

Olivia has some amazing events lined up, securing a partnership with Talland Bay hotel whereby guests can utilise the scenic grounds to reach creative freedom.

We spoke to Jack (featured left) who said ‘Olivia fits in at Talland perfectly and we are so excited to have her on board. Jack spoke about how refreshing it is to see a new culture opening up in Looe, he said: ‘I want people to realise Talland Bay Hotel is open to all, whether you are here for a coffee or staying in a suite we treat all our guests the same!’
