An Update: Land at Sunrising

We are aware there has been some concern about the disposal of a piece of land at Sunrising by Cornwall Council as a public notice about the sale has now been published, as they are legally obliged to do.
Looe Town Council was approached in early February by Cornwall Council about whether we’d be willing to take on the land. We responded to say that we would be interested and we have until early April to confirm yes or no. Cornwall Council has confirmed that no action will be taken until after our deadline.
In order to ensure we are acting according to the wishes of our community, we will be publishing a short survey next week asking for your thoughts on whether we should take ownership, and what it should be used for. One option is that nothing changes and it is left as a wildlife habitat.
Please look out for the survey next week and let us know your thoughts. Thank you.”
