Chris Rose

Chris first became a councillor in 2007 and served fourteen years before retiring in 2021. During that time, Chris served as Chairman of various committees and Deputy Mayor in 2019.

He has also served as a Trustee and Chairman on East Looe Town Trust.

Chris spent 42 years in the construction industry, covering Technical, Commercial, and Accounts management, with a focus on areas including Essex, London, the Home Counties, and finally Devon and Cornwall.

His hobbies include sailing on Tall Ships and he has the T-shirt for the 2014 Falmouth Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta. He also collects model buses.

Chris is married to Liz, who was a previous Mace Bearer for the council. He has two children, one living locally. And three grandchildren.

After four years of retirement, Chris returned to Looe Town Council at the May elections, representing the West Ward. He is passionate about Looe and, in particular, West Looe, which he feels deserves a louder voice.
