Important Update: Guildhall and Millpool 24/7 accessible toilets

We have received some Health & Safety concerns regarding the 24/7 opening of the accessible toilets. In turn, we will be reviewing the opening/closing times at these facilities. While discussions are taking place Looe Town Council will lock these facilities at our public toilet closing times. A reminder of these times below:  

  • 9-5pm until June 1st
  • Starting June 1st 9-7pm

Update on Guildhall Toilet Maintenance

Due to staffing constraints, the repair work on the accessible toilet at Guildhall, originally scheduled to be completed Wednesday 29th April, has been postponed until further notice. The maintenance is now expected to be completed next week. The nearest accessible toilet during this time is the seafront.

An Important Update: Guildhall Toilet Maintenance

Please be advised the accessible toilet at the Guildhall will remain closed until Wednesday, 30th April due to an ongoing drainage issue, which has required the removal of flooring.

Unfortunately, the repair work has taken longer than originally communicated. We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience it may cause. During this time, the nearest accessible toilet is at the seafront.

To help accommodate visitors, we have opened the ladies’ toilets at the Guildhall. This will temporarily operate as unisex during this period of maintenance.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these essential repairs.

Notification of Toilet Closure: Guildhall

Please be advised that the Guildhall Toilets will be closed for maintenance on Thursday, 24th April 2025, due to a drainage issue that requires the removal of flooring.

The closure is expected to last for 48 hours, though facilities may reopen sooner if work is completed ahead of schedule.

Please note: Due to the scale of the works, the accessible toilet at this location will also be unavailable during this time. The nearest alternative public toilet facilities, including accessible toilets, are located at the Seafront, which will remain open as usual.
