What’s New in Looe?

February is a little wet and rainy, but there’s plenty to look forward to! Two local groups are hard at work, bringing creativity, culture, and community enrichment to Looe.

Firstly, introducing Creative Looe who have recently launched their website: Coming Soon | Creative Looe

The group, combined with writers, musicians, dancers, painters, and more, was designed to bring together and support creativity in the local community. They have been working hard over the past few months, discussing all things creative!

The group have established three core aims:

• Enriching Looe – Bringing vibrant cultural experiences to the area.
• Supporting Creativity – Providing opportunities and encouragement for artistic expression.
• Fostering Enterprise – Helping creatives turn their passion into sustainable ventures.

To kick things off, Creative Looe are hosting ‘Party with a Purpose’ on 28th February at 7 PM in West Looe—a night of celebration and connection. Whether you’re an artist, performer, or just curious, this is a great opportunity to get involved. For more details or to join the event, send full details of your request, your full name(s) and email addresses to info@creativelooe.com.

They are currently planning a month-long festival in April 2025—a celebration of the landscape, heritage, and creativity of Looe Valley. This festival promises something for everyone, from walks across country & coast to craft sales, storytelling & more.
