COVID-19 LETS FACE THIS TOGETHER SAFELY

HELPLINE 01503 804099

As Your Town Council we are taking Everyone’s well being very seriously. We are pulling together to give all residents a central place to contact if they need help, though our Pandemic Coordination Group. In these difficult times we must all help each other. And feel able to ask for help. We want to take this opportunity to thank our Fantastic local volunteers for being part of Looe Town Councils #viralkindness Whatever you are worried about you, your family, friends, neighbours or relatives call our specially set up helpline on 01503 804099, we are here waiting to help.

Looe is the stunningly beautiful fishing port on the south coast of Cornwall, part of Caradon District and within easy travelling distance of Plymouth and the historic market town of Liskeard.

The Looe Town Council has fifteen elected members from Looe, which is now warded, the wards being: East Looe and West Looe. Members of the public will generally make enquiries of the Councillor they know or with whom they feel most comfortable.

Councillors are elected on a four yearly cycle, in May of the election year, and the Mayor is elected from among, and by, the Councillors annually.

The Councillors and Officers are listed on this website and they are happy to talk, listen and give advice on matters appertaining to Looe. Contact should be made through the Clerk to the Council between  9am – 12.30pm daily Monday to Friday.  Please telephone 01503 262255 or email enquiries@looetowncouncil.gov.uk to make an appointment.

The Town Council owns the Looe Library and Information Centre adjacent to the Millpool Car Park in West Looe, the Mariners Garden and Fishermens Memorial Garden adjacent to the Health Centre together with 2 Polkirt Arcade, Higher Market Street, East Looe. The Town Council lease the Health Centre Patients Car Park and the Allotment site at St Martins which is currently run by the Looe Allotment and Community Garden Association and we are also responsible for the Public Conveniences in Looe.

The Council also runs the Tourist Information Centre, promoting Looe as a holiday destination.
