A quick reminder of the latest rail strike taking place this Saturday 26 August, when RMT members (on board and station staff) will be taking industrial action.
Journey planners have now been updated, and large parts of our network will have no service whatsoever. Where services can run they will start later in the day and finish much earlier. There is likely to be disruption on Sunday 27 August, too.
Further to the update last week, ASLEF, the train drivers union, have now also announced strike action on Friday 1 September, this is in addition to the RMT’s strike on Saturday 2 September. Again, the majority of our network will have no service whatsoever, and we expect disruption to continue into Sunday 3 September.
More information on all of the strike dates is available on a dedicated webpage at www.gwr.com/strike.
