Street Marshalls – part time

Following the success of the Street Marshalls in Looe last year, we are looking to recruit two people again for the 2022 holiday season (March to September 2022).

Working 6.5 hours per day on a rota basis to cover 7 days per week, our Marshalls are the public face of Looe Town Council and help to ensure the safety of everyone in the town. This may mean helping drivers to find parking to reduce the number of vehicles in the town centre; providing information and guidance to members of the public; or even dealing with emergency situations that arise. Please note that this role has no powers of enforcement.

Applicants must know Looe well and be able to welcome people in a professional, courteous and polite manner at all times. The role involves standing/walking outside regardless of the weather so physical fitness is essential. An awareness of how to respond to medical or other emergencies will be an advantage, as well as knowing how to respond to challenging or aggressive behaviour.

To apply please complete our application form and return to us by Friday 18th February, via e-mail enquiries@looetowncouncil.gov.uk or to our office at Looe Library & Community Hub, The Millpool, Looe, PL13 2AF
