Road Closure – Sandplace Road

Cornwall Council will be carrying out work to Sandplace Road in the new year as part of their planned improvement works. A road closure will therefore be in place from Tuesday 30 January to Friday 29 March. Works will be carried out during the day between 7.30 am and 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday and the road closure will remain in place outside of these hours. All through traffic will need to follow the diversions in place at all times.

The work being done will increase the durability of the carriageway and deliver improvements to the existing drainage system as well as improve pedestrian safety. This will involve raising the existing granite kerbs between the parking bays, installing fencing and carrying out work to re-establish drainage points to manage water flows from the carriageway.
