Lest we forget…
Armistice Day: Looe Royal British Legion will be holding a service at Looe War Memorial on Friday 11th November, which will mark the 104th anniversary of the end of 1st World War. The short service will start at 10:40am and end with a two minutes silence at 11am, followed by a bugler playing the Last Post. RBL hope that many branch members and members of the public will attend.
Remembrance Sunday: Looe Town Council will be joining with the Royal British Legion for the Remembrance Sunday service at the Looe War Memorial on Sunday 13th November. The event will start at 10:30am with a procession of Councillors and wreath layers from the Guildhall to the War Memorial. Again, after the wreath laying and prayers, there will be a two minutes silence at 11am.
Representatives of organisations should meet at the Guildhall at 10.15 am for procession to the War Memorial at 10.25 for the service of Remembrance.
