Rail signalling work and line closures

PLEASE SEE LATEST UPDATES BELOW ABOUT WORK TO RAILWAYS WHICH WILL AFFECT OUR LOCAL SERVICES:

Work will continue until early 2024 on the line between Plymouth and Totnes. This will affect late evening trains (after 11 p.m.) Mondays to Thursdays each week.

From Tuesday 31 October to Sunday 5th November no trains will run between St Austell and St Erth, or from Truro to Falmouth. There will be hourly replacement bus services between St Austell and Penzance, and half-hourly ones between Truro and Falmouth.

Monday November 6 to Friday November 10 – the line is closed between Liskeard and St Erth (including branch lines to Newquay and Falmouth Docks). There will be reduced frequency of trains between Plymouth and Liskeard – so check before travelling that week. There will be hourly replacement bus services between Liskeard and St Austell and between St Austell and Penzance: if you are travelling beyond St Austell, it could be quicker to go to Plymouth and catch the bus (to Truro, say) from there.

11 and 12 November weekend the line is closed between Plymouth and St Erth (including branch lines to Looe, Newquay and Falmouth Docks). There will be hourly bus replacement services to Plymouth and to Liskeard; and if you want to go beyond St Austell it is likely to be quicker to go to Plymouth and catch a bus from there.

Also, the Liskeard to Looe line will be closed (for level crossing work) on Monday 20th November.
