New Waste Collections

The new weekly food waste and fortnightly rubbish collection service starts next week in Looe and throughout South East Cornwall. These changes are being made to help people reduce waste and increase recycling for a more thriving and sustainable Cornwall.

You can find more details about new collection days in the Go Collection Calendar sent to all households in March or by going to My Area – Cornwall Council and entering your address. There will now be a weekly collection of food waste in the small bin provided to all households. Other rubbish will be collected once a fortnight: your black wheelie bin/bag one week and then your recycling bags/boxes the next.

Please continue to separate waste for recycling into the coloured bags and black boxes that we used previously. Recycling bags are available from Looe Library if you don’t already have these.
