Millpool Maintenance

Cornwall Council (CC) have advised us that some essential maintenance is planned for the Millpool Boating Lake. Cormac have been appointed as contractor and it’s hoped that the project will commence on Monday 30th October.

Works will include the repair and replacement of some gabion baskets and mattresses, replacement of landing stage timber, and repointing brickwork and repairs to joints. The entire project is expected to take in the region of nine weeks, however this type of work, at a location like this, can be impacted by adverse weather conditions. CC are very aware that this is a popular location and will do their best to complete the work quickly, with as little disruption as possible.

The path around the pond will remain open, however for the safety of the workforce and of pedestrians there will be fencing in place. At times sections alongside the river may need to be closed, but pedestrians will be able to take an alternative route and the team will do their best to ensure there is sufficient signage is in place to keep everyone informed.
