Make Savings by Bus
New, low fare initiatives to make bus travel cheaper, easier and more attractive to new passengers are underway. The scheme significantly reduces the cost of bus travel across most fares to encourage people to swap their cars for public transport and cut Cornwall’s carbon emissions.
Working together with Cornwall Council under the Transport for Cornwall partnership, bus companies Cornwall by Kernow, Go Cornwall Bus, Stagecoach, Hopleys, OTS and Travel Cornwall have introduced measures to encourage more people to jump aboard:
- Passengers can now use their bus ticket on any bus covering their journey, regardless of who operates it (excludes college and university passes and the Truro Park and Ride).
- New individual Day Town Zone tickets offering unlimited one-day travel within a defined local area cost £3 for adults and £1.50 for anyone under 19.
- A day ticket that offers unlimited travel around Cornwall is now just £5 (down from £9), and single fares start from just £1.60 and returns from £2.40.
- There are also great value multi-use tickets available for weekly and monthly travel.
