Light Up Looe!
Join us to light up Looe this Christmas.
The town’s lights will be switched on at the Quayside Centre, West Looe on Friday 1st December at 7pm following lantern parades from East and West Looe. After the switch-on there will be a short service, carols, refreshments and Christmas entertainment. There may even be a visit from Father Christmas…watch this space.
As in previous years, we hope that local residents and businesses will also help to light up Looe with their own festive displays. The Mayor will judge these during December so please let us know if you’d like him to see your home or shop window, or if there’s a display near you that should not be missed.
Don’t forget that free lantern-making workshops are taking place again in November at Millpool Centre on 4th and Tencreek Holiday Park on 25th. Places are limited so if you’d like to join in and make a lantern to parade on 1st December, please call into the library or contact us at enquiries@looetowncouncil.gov.uk / 01503 262255.
