Latest update on the landslip on Polperro Road, West Looe.
Cornwall Highways are continuing to keep Looe Town Council and Cornwall Councillors Jim Candy and Armand Toms updated on progress to resolve the landslip on the A387 Polperro Road West Looe. Everyone recognises that finding a solution is a priority and we anticipate that a further update will be available later in the week.
Cornwall Council have provided the following update,
“Cornwall Council met with the land owner last Friday alongside geo-environmental team that carried out the ground investigation, the network team and Cormac’s design team. The landowners understand the Council’s position and understand the issues that the traffic management is causing. They are actively in conversations with us and more importantly, their insurer, and it is hoped we can reach/agree some form of resolution by the end of the week. Cormac continue to explore, monitor and review the traffic management now the yellow boxes have now been installed. Whilst traffic is still delayed it is hoped that these measures are helping ease the flow.”
