Job Vacancy – Community Hub Information Officer

We have an exciting part-time opportunity based at the Library and Community Hub, located at the Millpool, Looe. We are a small team but we aim big and we are passionate about reading and books and also about providing useful information and efficient services to local residents and visitors to Looe. Based in Looe Library, you will be providing and promoting library services as well as marketing Looe as a visitor destination and supplying tourist information. We use a variety of IT systems so familiarity with Word, Outlook and Excel is essential as well as the ability to make good use of social media. Experience in delivering library services would be an advantage but, more importantly, you will need to be a great communicator who can empathise with others, respond to enquiries efficiently and recognise when to signpost people to other services. The shift is 4.5 hours per week on a Saturday, 9:45am-2:15pm, starting January 2024.
