Changes to Waste Collection Services
You’ll be aware that changes are happening with how our waste is collected and recycled. You may already have received information about this and Cornwall Councill will be delivering leaflets and new bins to households in Looe by March 2024.
Our collections will be changing to:
- Food waste weekly;
- Recycling fortnightly;
- Rubbish fortnightly (rubbish will be limited to what fits in your 180 litre bin or sack with the lid closed – roughly 3 to 4 black bag)
To help you prepare for the changes, Cornwall Council are running a series of community roadshows and will be at Looe Library from 10am to 12 noon on Friday, 26th January. Recycling Officers will be here to answer any questions you have about the new food waste, recycling and rubbish collection service face-to-face. They’ll also be able to give you tips and information that will make switching to the new service easier.
If you’d like to find out more but can’t make 26th, details of other roadshow and the rollout programme can be found at Talk to us face-to-face at a community roadshow – Cornwall Council
