The management of Looe Library and Information service has transferred to Looe Town Council as part of Cornwall Council's Devolution Programme, which is helping councils and communities take over local ownership, management and control of services. Cornwall Council continues to support the Town Council to deliver the local service. Looe Library customers will still be members of the Cornwall Library and Information Service and will be able to borrow from the Cornwall-wide stock of books, CD's and DVD's, as well as having access to online newspapers, e-magazines, eBooks and computers.
LOOE LIBRARY REFURBISHMENT
Looe Library and Information Service is now closed for refurbishment and will reopen on Tuesday 5th November 2019. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
MOBILE LIBRARY SERVICE
There will be a visit on Tuesday 22nd October at Barbican Road (by the Primary School) for 3.20pm where it will remain until 3.40pm. Customers will also be able to borrow at least 30 books during the closure period and continue to have access to the RVS home library service.
CLICK AND COLLECT
There will also be a staffed 'Click and Collect' service for library customers based in the Millpool Centre, West Looe in October on Tuesday 22nd, Friday 25th, Tuesday 29th and Thursday 31st between 11am and 1pm. This will allow customers to collect reservations they have made.
USE OF COMPUTERS
Library customers will also be able to access and use the computers in the Millpool Centre, West Looe on the above dates between 11am and 1pm.
