Perhaps a little bit about my background will help you to understand my drive and passion for my role managing Visit Looe site www.looetowncouncil.gov.uk .

I have proven record of achievement in Business Development, Project Management, sales, sponsorship, marketing, media, sales to business professional services industry; Healthcare, Elderly Care, Ford Motor Company, Lombard Motor Finance; and DMGT Western Morning News. During my time working for the newspapers, I became the UK Newspaper Sales top business executive in the UK

I have over 20 years’ experience managing events and product launches including: Multi Academy Trust, with Sir Gary Streeter and Johnny Mercer MP, the launch of the £3 million new build state of the art specialist dementia unit for the Stonehaven Care Group. Topping and Turfing launch events with Midas and Interserve Construction.

In my spare time I created and developed the “Garden of Italy “, an online Italian wine business. Working on wine tasting events with Master Chef Peter Gorton, Michelin Chef Theo Randall, at the Hotel Indigo in London and the Directors of Montaia vineyard.

I spent 10 years as a voluntary Chair of Southwest Women in Construction (SWWIC), and was invited to participate in a construction forum at Portcullis House, an office building in Westminster London. Whilst at the same time I focused on managing show case events such as, the annual showcase Ladies with Influence Lunch event, working with high profile guest speakers Angela Rippon OBE, Debra Searle MBE, and Professor Anne Carlisle who helped us raise funds for local charities and the Hasler Recovery Unit, HMS Drake.  I also organised a celebrity lunch for Devon Community Foundation, on behalf of all voluntary and charitable groups across Devon. 150 guests joined our VIP celebrity guest speaker, Secret Millionaire Marcelle Speller, gaining film coverage on Channel 4.
